Aaryajanani Initiatives

Aaryajanani Trust also conducts several awareness programs targeting the young adults, youth, as well as the under-privileged workforce.

Our Initiatives include:

Asha Worker training Program –

This is aimed at imparting concepts of Aaryajanani and equip the ASHA workers with the right tools and techniques to positively impact the lives of pregnant mothers and enhance their pregnancy journeys at the grassroot level. The 2 hour training program consists of a scientific presentation on prenatal awareness, prenatal yoga, guided meditation, a lifestyle presentation and an inspiring talk by Swamiji on “the importance of alleviating stress and anxiety of pregnant mothers for healthy future generations”.

Sampoorna Swasthya

Aaryajanani Trust, in association with the Rotary Club, Cantonment branch, Secunderabad, has launched the Sampoorna Swaasthya (holistic healthcare) programme for deprived communities by adopting urban slums called Uttarayya huts in Secunderabad. The Sampoorna Swaasthya programme caters to the holistic wellbeing of the residents of Uttarayya huts, with a specific focus on children, adolescents, pregnant women, and mothers. As part of this programme, various camps are organised regularly that provide medical, nutritional, occupational, psychological, and emotional support to the community at large.

Niloufer – Aaryajanani Collaboration

Recently, a new team of young doctors and volunteers has passionately come forward to conduct Aaryajanani workshops at Niloufer Hospital, a tertiary care government hospital in Telangana, in order to serve a wider section of the population. These workshops will continue to be held on a monthly basis for pregnant women.

The workshop includes a scientific presentation, a pregnancy lifestyle presentation, a session on yoga and deep relaxation technique, and value-based storytelling followed by meditation for the holistic wellbeing of pregnant mothers. The organizing team members are Dr. Manasa, a pediatrician; Dr. Sandesh, a pediatrician; Smt. Suma, a yoga instructor; and Sri Jeevan, the programme coordinator and facilitator.

Natco Pharma

Aaryajanani visited a rural village in Jadcherla, Telangana and collaborated with Natco Pharma to educate anganwadi workers and pregnant mothers on the principles of “prenatal awareness and conscious parenting.”

Rural community Outreach

Aaryajanani workshops are also being conducted in the rural areas of Telangana. Local organisers of these areas in coordination with anganwadi workers support the cause of Aaryajanani by providing us the platform to conduct such workshops. Pregnant women are brought together from the surrounding mandals for the 2-3 hour session on pregnancy care and lifestyle. The workshop consists of different elements catering to the physical, mental and spiritual health of the pregnant mothers.

Urban Community Awareness Programme

The session included a scientific presentation, yoga and guided meditation, and a presentation on pregnancy lifestyle. The organising team consisted of Ms. Avani (a nutritionist) and Ms. Deepthi. The programme also had support staff from the government of Telangana: Smt. Tejaswini, Women Welfare Officer, Mahila Shakti Kendra, Hyderabad; Ms. Jhansi (Gender Specialist, WDCW); and Ms. Sumithra (Anganwadi teacher).

After the programme, bananas and peanut chikki were distributed to all the participants, sponsored by Aaryajanani. We express our gratitude to the Govt. of Telangana, Anganwadi teachers, and management staff for their efforts in gathering the mothers and giving us the platform to conduct the awareness programme.
